Honor 9N
We are going to review the mid ranger from honor phone which has actually created alot of buzz, but let's see if it is actually that good...so lets get started.
We will start with the design of the smartphone
Towards the front it has got this 6.5 inch fhd plus display with a screen to body ratio up to 91 percent and fairly small chin with bezzles up to 4.25 millimeters. We also have a notch which have a earpiece, selfie camera, a flash and a notification light...that's too much in this medium size notch...I wonder why apple, xiaomi and Google wanted to have such a bigger notch for thier flagships.
Anyways towards the left we have got the dual sim card tray with micro SD option as well and can be expanded upto 256 gb. towards the right we have the volume rocker and power button. On the bottom we have the speaker grill the 3.5 mm headphone jack...and the micro USB cable, yes guys sadly there is no type c port.
Towards the back we have a glossy dual tone design, the fingerprint reader and has a vertically pair of rear cameras with individual bumps encasing both, a finger print sensor ,The Honor and “AI Camera” logos aligned in a landscape alignment.
Now the phone comes in three colour options in India — a classic black, a navy blue, and a bold red. We have navy blue here. It reflects light when you turn it in your hand.
Now honor says It has used multiple layers of
glass to achieve this premium look.
However, the glossy back on the Honor
8X is extremely prone to smudges and even scratches. But nevertheless this is the best looking smartphone under 15K, specially the back of the phone is a compete refresh and it totally nails it with it killer looks. It actually stands out from the crowd in terms of design and looks. But we definitely recommend to use a cover for the back because of the glass.
Display
Now lets come back to the display The 6.5 full hd+ display with 1080x2280 pixel resolution. It is protected by
Corning Gorilla glass 3. the display has curved edges which adds to its looks. The notch is nicely poised in the middle and you also have an option to enable or disable
the notch as per your need. The screen offers pretty good viewing angles and the display is brilliant...it has got Great contrast levels, the black looks crisp and It is also not reflective under direct sunlight. To be honest this seems to be the best display honor could have used at this price bracket. Also For a better user experience, the company has also incorporated various colour modes such as warm, cool and others so that users can adjust the colour as per their needs and surroundings. There is also an eye comfort mode which filters the harmful blue light in order to relieve visual fatigue. This mode covers the display with a yellow tint. Along with this, there is also

The View mode controls the size of interface elements such as images and texts.
Coming to the software, this smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system topped with the company’s own layer of customisation EMUI 8.2.
The UI is quite clean but it comes with its own share of bloatware.
The device consists of various apps from Honor along with Facebook.
Now personally I am not a big fan of emui, but I also want to admit that it does comes with some hand featured like One-Click Split, Navigation Dock, .The device consists of various apps from Honor along with Facebook.
There is a gaming mode allows you to enjoy your games without
distraction, it's UI also has various modes that claim to enhance user experience
Honor provides the option to switch over to the single-key navigation, where you swipe the bar to perform back, home, and recent task actions.
Guys about gaming experience, I eally enjoyed playing games on this, as expected the Kirin 710 is a powerful chupset and u will not notice any lag or framedrop...we also tested pubg on this and it worked fine... Plus it doesn't gets heated up like other mid range smartphones with heavy usage
Also felt the difference if huger GPU which enhanced the colors of this phone and my gaming experience.

Camera
And as far as video quality is concern,The videos quality is good with the front camera
However the video quality is just average if you are using the rear camera, the video is on the softer side. Also it only records upto 1080 P which is a bit of a bummer given now a days most of the phones comes with recording options upto 4K, also it does not have any kind of image stablisation…now you can see this in the sample video
Battery performance
can be a disappointment for some.
Our final Verdict
The Honor 8x is a beautiful smartphone. We tested the 4GB RAM andOur final Verdict
64GB internal storage variant which is priced at Rs 14,999. At this price point It offers an excellent design, a super fast processor and a satisfactory camera experience with AI mode which is rare in budget category smartphone...
It could have been more better if Honor would have been more focussed about low light photography by optimising thier software. Also
the video quality of the rear camera was mediocre. Plus the absence of fast charging and USB type c is a bit disappointing
But still I believe that currently it is the best package available atbest15 k bracket and it has already made xiaomi and realme worry with thier offerings, but just in case camera is ur top most priority we would suggest you should check out realme 2 pro and mia2.
